Leveling up: +1 to communication

Communication is an important skill in general, not just in data science. I admire and respect a number of sources that do this well, as in, they appeal to and reach a large audience. Two that come to mind are Radiolab and Kurzgesagt - In a Nutshell. Both follow a narrative arc that is easy to digest because, as you've likely heard the stylized fact, people like to consume information in the form of a story. (Groan if you must.)

In about 45 minutes, Radiolab uses sound to enrich their storytelling. With 2 main hosts, they pose a question or introduce a theme and guide the listener through a conversation with experts and other persons of interest.

Kurzgesagt (German for "in brief" or "in a nutshell") provides easy-to-understand videos, most at 10 minutes or shorter, on a variety of topics (eg GMOs, black holes, conscious machines). They throw in pop culture references and I think the illustration style they've come up with is pretty cute.

Some criticize by saying either source is too simplistic, but I think it's a good exercise to be able to be able to distill your message (or a whole field!!) down to a core summary.
